After spending seventeen years behind bars, the once esteemed banker from Paris, Paul Lavond, escapes prison with his companion, the mad scientist Marcel, who is experimenting with shrinking animals and humans to benefit society. Paul Lavond was falsely accused of theft by his deceitful partners Emil Coulvet, Charles Matin, and Victor Radin, who stole his business and brought shame, poverty, and tragedy upon his family. When Marcel shrinks their simple-minded servant Lachna, he discovers that she is immobile and only moves at his command, leading to her sudden death. With Marcel gone, Paul Lavond seizes the opportunity for revenge, using the shrinking technology to plot against his enemies. Disguised as the elderly Madame Mandilip, the eccentric Malita and Paul Lavond journey to Paris. Under the guise of Madame Mandilip, Paul Lavond reconnects with his estranged daughter Lorraine and devises a plan to restore his family's honor and seek justice.
